Finnish pancakes, known as "letut", "lätyt" or "ohukainen," have a history rooted in traditional Finnish cuisine. These thin pancakes are similar to French crepes but with a distinctive Finnish twist. Historically, they were a staple in Finnish households, particularly in rural areas where they provided a versatile and economical meal. The outdoor, open-fire ones, cooked on cast iron pans are called "muurinpohjaletut" which are the best in our opinion!
