Dan Sukker Jam Sugar

With jam sugar, you can easily make a suitably thick and well-preserved jam. The most important raw material of Finnish jam sugar is granulated sugar made from domestic sugar beets. Jam sugar also contains pectin, the gelling substance of berries and fruits, which gives the jam a suitable solid structure. The natural potassium sorbate contained in the jam sugar improves the shelf life of the jam. The colour and aroma of the jam are best preserved in a cool place, but jam made with jam sugar can also be stored at room temperature, protected from light, if necessary.
